Blended Learning

Blended Learning at Badgerbrook

At Badgerbrook Primary School, we are proud to implement a blended learning approach that seamlessly integrates digital tools and devices into our everyday teaching. This approach enhances learning opportunities by combining traditional classroom methods with innovative technology, creating a dynamic and engaging environment for all pupils. Through the use of laptops, interactive platforms, and educational software, we empower children to take ownership of their learning, develop independence, and build essential digital skills that prepare them for the future. Our pupils are not only more engaged in their learning but are also becoming confident, responsible users of technology.

To support this vision, our staff are continually upskilling themselves, staying informed about emerging technologies and thoughtfully incorporating them into their lesson planning. This ensures that while we embrace digital innovation, we remain firmly committed to the core skills of reading and writing. Our carefully crafted lessons strike a balance between developing future-ready competencies and maintaining strong literacy foundations.

We also offer a device scheme that allows pupils to take laptops home, extending their learning beyond the classroom and enabling them to practise and refine their digital skills in a supportive home environment. As we progress on our journey to becoming a Microsoft Showcase School for 2025/26, we are proud to share our blended learning practices with other schools, including secondary settings, and will continue to lead by example in the use of technology to enrich education.
